Helping children build real confidence in English, maths & science
Expert primary teaching for ages 4–11. Not just tutoring — structured, evidence-based lessons from someone who's taught hundreds of children in real classrooms.
Taught by a teacher, not just a tutor
Most tutors are students or career tutors who've never managed a classroom. Michelle has spent years teaching 30+ children at once — differentiating lessons, spotting gaps, building confidence, and getting real results against national benchmarks.
That experience means she sees things other tutors miss. And it means your child gets teaching that's structured, proven, and genuinely expert.
What we teach
Structured lessons in the core subjects that matter most. Each session is tailored to your child's current level and learning style.
English
From phonics and early reading through to confident writing and comprehension. Building strong foundations in literacy using systematic, evidence-based methods.
Maths
Number sense, arithmetic, reasoning, and problem-solving. Building mathematical confidence step by step from Reception through to Year 6.
Science
Curiosity-led learning covering biology, chemistry, and physics at primary level. Making science accessible, memorable, and fun.
11+ Grammar School Preparation
Aiming for a grammar school place? The 11+ exam is competitive — and preparation matters. I work with Year 5 children to build the skills, techniques, and confidence they need.
This isn't about cramming. It's about systematic preparation: understanding what the exam requires, practising with real past papers, and developing strategies that work under timed conditions.
- Verbal reasoning techniques
- Non-verbal reasoning practice
- English comprehension & composition
- Maths problem-solving
- Timed past paper practice
- Exam technique & confidence building
When should you start?
Most 11+ exams take place in September of Year 6. Starting in Year 5 gives your child a full year to prepare properly — learning techniques, building stamina, and working through past papers without last-minute panic.
